Nor do they inform of the success rate of E-Verify, the fed immigration tool identifying illegal labor. These entities were nearly successful through the intervening Sen. Harry Reid (D-NV), with support from majority speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) to crush the computer verification program. Unfortunately, E-Verify may become obsolete if they pass Comprehensive Immigration Reform, that will legitimize 20 to 30 million illegal immigrants? Plus it’s being kept in the dark, that millions more will pour across our undermanned border, or from across the world, once they get the word that AMNESTY is about to commence?

We will be donating taxpayers dollars to support the poorest of families, with little or no education. Taxpayer will be paying for the old and sick person, mentally handicapped and those who need surgery who reaches American soil. It will be the–SAME– nightmare as the1986 immigration bill (IRCA) all over again, when 3 million materialized into 5.3 million and those working in agriculture disappeared, to enter the mainstream of US working class. Now lets focus on the point, the state’s fiscal disaster.

Illegal immigrantion results in a multitude of problems.

1. These people tax the system, i.e. free welfare and medical benefits without having contributed to the system.

2. Illegal immigrants take jobs that the unemployed legal residents would otherwise be able to fill. By taking unemployed legal workers off the unemployment rolls, you are further reducing unemployment costs.

3. By putting legal workers on the payroll, they should be paying into the legal system including taxes instead of the under the table cash system in place with illegal immgigrants.

Returning illegal immigrants to their countries will reduce public costs, will put unemployed americans to work, and will actually increase money coming into the state and federal government. A win-win for those here legally.

If this is going to be the policy of Barack Hussein Obama. I won’t even qualify his name by calling him President as he shouldn’t be. Why else would he have his birth certificate locked up, what does he have to hide?

Sorry for the rant, let’s get back to the point, what is with letting people in who don’t belong and letting them stay when captured? Let’s do all we can to drive up welfare and medical costs taking care of those who come here to take advantage of the system.

The Baltimore Sun’s editorial “The ‘usual suspects’” (Feb. 24) could not be further off the mark.

Illegal immigration has been out of control for years. Billions of dollars of taxpayer money are spent every year for education, health care, law enforcement and corrections costs related to illegal immigrants. At the same time, those illegal immigrants are, for the most part, not paying any income taxes.

In the current economic downturn, millions of legal Americans are out of work. A major portion of the job losses have been in construction and related sectors of the economy, which have long seen legal Americans forced out of employment by illegals who work for lower wages, often without benefits and without paying taxes.

All governments, from the federal to the local level, should be making every effort to stop illegal immigration and to eject illegal immigrants from this nation.

To cry about racial profiling is ludicrous.

Everyone knows the vast majority of illegal immigrants in this country are Hispanics. If ICE is not focusing on Hispanic illegal immigrants, it’s not doing its job.Larry Schweinsburg

Olga’s attorney has requested a lowering of bail but we know if Olga makes bail she will never be seen again. It is also curious how she is able to afford the attorney she is using as most people at her income level use the public defender and are unable to afford an expensive attory.
